As soon as I arrived in Málaga I knew I would love the place. Actually, I lie. I knew I would love it before I’d even set foot on that plane headed to Paris what seems like forever ago. Months before my trip I scoured the web to read as many articles as I could — all of them seemed to have nothing but good things to say about the beach. Needless to say I had high expectations in that department and expected to just spend my time there lounging in the sun, sangria in hand. Once I was there, however, I realized there was so much more to do.
I went hiking, spend hours wandering through the city, admired the old cathedrals, visited some museums, ate delicious food, and yes, I did drink lots of sangria on the beach. If this was all I did on my vacation — no Morocco, no visiting anywhere else — I still would have been happy. Well, for a week maybe. Can’t stay too long in one place. 🙂
Málaga is such a beautiful, laid back city that has pretty much everything a traveler could want: culture, nightlife, great food, friendly locals, and of course the beach. If you’ve ever been to Barcelona, imagine that but on a slightly smaller scale. And obviously with more emphasis on the beach vibe. Which reminds me —
