I don’t know about you, but December snuck up on me pretty darn fast. There I was planning a Halloween party and– BAM. Christmas is coming in a couple short weeks.
The holiday season will come and go just as quickly, and I like to make the most of my time whether it’s in the evenings after work or on my days off. So I made a list of the things I want to do before the end of the month as motivation to keep trying new things, and to do the things that keep me sane and happy during this super hectic time of year.
These are those things:
- drink all the eggnog
go to the Christmas Market, take obligatory selfies in front of the tree[done today!]bake shortbread cookies with my Mom- go for a skate outdoors
- attempt to make mulled wine
- go on a winter hike … (hopefully when there’s some snow on the ground, but you know, not too much)
- bring my bangs back, because my forehead gets cold in the winter
- come up with some recipes to make my popcorn habit more… festive
- finish planning my trip to South America
- go to all the Christmas parties (yes, that includes the ugly sweater ones)
- take my Mom and Sis out for Christmas pedis
curl up under a blanket by the fireplace[just kidding, I do this all the time because my place is always freezing, no matter how you set the thermostat]- invite my gals over for a fancy fondue party
- indulge in one full day of “me” time… and do nothing but play videogames 🙂
Oh, and I think I will actually wrap the presents I’m giving this year with fancy paper (and bows!) and not throw them in a gift bag like I ususally do. I’ll never get better at wrapping if I don’t try right? Even if it is only once a year… What’s on your bucket list for December?
