In other news, I’m now able to talk about the big surprise family thing I’d been working on: a huuge surprise engagement party for my little sis and her fiance! It took about two months of planning but we managed to pull it off; get about 60 of their friends and our families together, plan a bunch of games, find a fancy cake and all kinds of food and decorations into my parents house and they had no idea until they walked in the door and we yelled “surprise”. Both our families love hockey so it had a little bit of a hockey theme. I was pretty busy during the party, but I managed to take a couple snaps of the festivities in between fetching things for the caterers and other busy tasks.
We totally played ridiculous games. Mostly meant to embarass the happy couple, ha.

The cake had their team colours inside — red and blue velvet, yum — as you can see it was totally demolished by the guests. 🙂
Tomorrow I’m off to help them set up for their engagement shoot at the ACC. I made a logo for their jerseys (did I mention they LOVE hockey). I haven’t seen them yet but I will definitely post photos here when I do!
