It’s been pouring rain on and off since early this morning so I’m glad I planned my beach outing for yesterday!
In other happy news I just booked a flight to NYC for next weekend. I hope to be finished the majority of this behemoth of a project at work by then so I can do some serious pre-release celebrating/shopping/eating of great Italian food there with my Sis. Woo.
We haven’t really planned anything except for a lunch date at Shake Shack in Madison Square Park (because we always do that when I visit in the summer). Or possibly a trip to Coney Island since we’ve never been. Here’s hoping the weather is awesome so we can go all out! Knowing this trip is coming up and I’ll be spending some QT with my Sis is all I need to get me through this week.
Even if the weather is bad I’m okay with that. Shopping is the perfect cure for bad weather vacations, IMHO… and it’s not like we would run out of things to do. I don’t think that’s possible in NYC. I just know everything else will fall into place once I get there as it usually does.
